Anderlecht defensive pairing added to Belgian squad

Belgium coach Robert Waseige has been forced to make two changes to his squad for the friendly against fellow Euro 2000 hosts Holland in Brussels on Wednesday night.

The weekend's round of league matches saw Lierse defender Eric Van Meir and Arminia Bielefeld defender Jacky Peeters both withdraw from the Belgian squad last night.

Waseige has turned to runaway Belgian league leaders Anderlecht to shore up his squad with Bertrand Crasson and Glen De Boeck joining the team or training today.

Anderlecht drew 2-2 at the weekend with Harelbeke and have a 12 point lead as the Belgian league enters its last six weeks.
