Germany's Deisler has groin surgery

Middlesbrough transfer target Sebastian Deisler has undergone groin surgery this morning after puling out of Germany's squad to play Croatia in Zagreb tomorrow night.

The 20 year old Hertha Berlin star is a £7 million target for the Premiership club this summer and is already a regular in the Germany squad with Euro 2000 only just over two months away.

The player is expected back in training in ten days after the successful operation and could be back playing for Hertha by mid April.
