Fiorentina striker Predrag Mijatovic found good form in Skopje to score both goals as Yugoslavia beat Macedonia 2-1.
The Yugoslavs are starting to prepare for the Euro 2000 finals in June and are pleased to see striker Mijatovic starting to recover some fitness after recent injury spells have marred his first season in Florence.
Darko Kovacevic provided a driven cross for Mijatovic to shoot against the post and the striker followed up his own effort to hot the bal over the line.
Nenad Sakic hit a high cross that drew Macedonian goalkeeper Oka Nikolov from his from his line but he failed to clear the ball allowing Mijatovic to sneak in and head what proved to be the winner.
Predrag Karanfilovski scored a close range replay in the 79th minute as the home side dominated the second half.
