Greece coach Otto Rehhagel better known as 'King Otto' gets his hands on the Henry Delaunay trophy after his side completed a remarkable run to the European title. Greece had never even won a match at a major tournament before Euro 2004.

So close but yet so far!

There was great disappointment for Portugal skipper Luis Figo and the whole country after they lost to Greece 1-0 in the Euro 2004 final. It was the second defeat in the tournament for the hosts against the surprising Greeks and will take a long time to overcome.

Angelos Charisteas breaks into celebration after his header fired Greece to the European title on Sunday against Portugal. The 150-1 tournament outsiders pulled off a shocking achievement with a 1-0 win.

Misery has set in for Portugal and their fervent football fans after the team crashed to a 1-0 defeat to Greece in the Euro 2004 final. Great expectations on the eve of the match turned to despair as Greece completed a remarkable campaign in glory.
