Nigerian international defender Taribo West has signed an 18-month contract with Yugoslav champions Partizan, team officials said.
The 29-year-old will join his new teammates immediately, four weeks ahead of the start of the second part of Yugoslav championship with Partizan coming first in the first part of the season.
Partizan manager Zarko Zecevic refused to reveal financial details of the contract, but sources said West would get 300,000 euros (324,000 dollars) for the 18-month stint.
West, who has played for top Italian side AC Milan and English outfit Derby County, is Partizan's first signing since former German international Lothar Matthaus took over the squad in December.
