Brazilian international Fabio Junior has joined Portugal's Victoria Guimaraes on loan from AS Roma until the end of the current season.
"I was at Roma for a year and a half but I didn't get many opportunities to show what I am worth," Junior told reporters.
"I hope I will not disappoint those that bet on me. I will do everything so that I am kept on after June," he added.
Under the deal struck with AS Roma, the Portuguese club has the option to buy Junior at the end of the loan period.
The 25-year-old striker spent last year on loan in his homeland with Cruzeiro where he scored 23 times.
AS Roma signed Junior in 1998 from Brazil's Clube Atletico Mineiro for 15 million euros (16 million dollars) but has made limited use of the player.
