PSG loan El Karkouri to Sunderland

Moroccan international defender Talal El Karkouri has been loaned for six months to English Premiership strugglers Sunderland from French side Paris Saint Germain, PSG manager Luis Fernandez said.

Fernandez said Friday however that he was on the look-out for an offensive midfielder to fill the gap left by Portugal's Hugo Leal, who is out for a month with a thigh injury, and Brazilian Andre Luiz, who has an elbow problem.

Last-minute talks are still underway to bring Lens midfielder Stephane Pedron to Paris before the transfer window closes Friday midnight.
