Brazil stay top of FIFA rankings

World champions Brazil recovered from their Confederations Cup debacle by reaching the Gold Cup final they lost to Mexico to stay top of the FIFA rankings.

They lead France by more than 20 points. Spain hold on to third place.

Gold Cup winners Mexico move up six places to 5th, returning to the tp 5 for the first time since May 1998.

Confederations Cup runners-up Cameroon are up four places to 12th, their best result in the table.

Australia drop 13 places to 63rd, leaving Oceania with no team in the top 50.
