Serginho boost for Milan

First Published: Mar 31, 2003

AC Milan's Serginho has recovered from a knee injury and is available for this weekend's tricky league match away to fifth-placed Parma, the club has confirmed.

The speedy Brazilian wing-back has not played since suffering the injury in the home match against Piacenza on January 19.

Serginho said Milan, five points behind leaders Juventus in third place, cannot afford to drop more points if they are to win the Scudetto for a 17th time.

"From now on we can't fail anymore, every point will be fundamental," he was quoted as saying on the club's official website Monday, www.acmilan.com.

"We are confident because in the last four seasons the title has been won by a team making a late run. We will fight to the very end."
