FIFA have temporarily lifted the suspension imposed on the Guatemala football federation for governmental interference until next May, the sport's world governing body decided during a meeting of their Executive Committee decided.
FIFA had suspended the federation last month until order could be re-established in the federation's internal affairs.
But FIFA deputy secretary general Jerome Champagne said Sunday: "After meeting the Guatemalan delegation the Executive Committee decided to lift the suspension until the EC's next meeting in Paris in May.
"The EC also backed the Guatemalan Federation president in his functions, considering him as the only negotiator and designated three intermediaries to support him during this probationary period," added Champagne.
