Scottish champions Celtic took Senegalese international striker Henri Camara from Wolves on a year's loan.
The Glasgow giants also have the option of making the transfer of the 27-year-old player permanent for 5.8 million pounds.
"I'm very pleased to have Henri Camara on board," said Celtic manager Martin O'Neill.
"He will be a welcome addition to the squad and, if things go well for him here, we will have the option to buy him at the end of the season."
Camara, who failed to keep relegated Wolves in the English Premiership last season, said he was looking forward to earning domestic and European success at Parkhead.
"I can't wait to get started. Although I have played and scored in World Cup matches for my country, the chance to represent Celtic in the Champions League will be the biggest footballing experience of my life."
