Milan Baros has set his sights on making his Liverpool comeback in next week's crucial Champions League clash against Olympiakos.
Baros, the top scorer at this summer's Euro 2004, has been out of action since November 18, when he incurred a hamstring injury on international duty for the Czech Republic against Macedonia.
But Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez revealed on Tuesday that Baros had resumed training and could be in contention for next week's European date.
"Milan is back doing some jogging. I think he will be out for another week," Benitez said.
"He wants to play against Olympiakos next Wednesday. We'll see. It will be good for us if he can make that, but we will have to wait and see. I don't want to use him too early and risk losing him for another two months."
Baros's injury left Liverpool without their three first choice forwards. Luis Garcia is also battling a hamstring problem while Djibril Cisse has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken leg.
A comeback by Baros against Olympiakos would be a major boost for Liverpool in a match they must win to be sure of a place in the knockout phase of the Champions League.
