English Premiership champions Chelsea and Italian rivals AC Milan ended their North American tour with a 1-1 draw at Giants Stadium.

The two European giants produced an uninspired display in the first half in front of a 33,444 crowd.

At the 10th minute mark, Cafu unleashed a left-foot drive that sailed wide and fifteen-minutes later, Chelsea captain Frank Lampard returned the favour but his free kick cannoned over the bar.

In the second half, the level finally moved up a notch.

In the 64th minute, Didier Drogba scored a goal to remember when he cruised past three defenders and deftly chipped the Londoners in front.

But the Italian side raced right back through Portuguese striker Manuel Rui Costa who blasted a superb shot high into the right corner of the net in the 80th minute to even the score.
