Polish champions Wisla Krakow said they had accepted a 3 million euro bid from Celtic for their 28-year-old striker Maciej Zurawski.

The player had been hesitating over a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor or the Scottish Premier side.

"Now that Zurawski has made his mind up we will renew contact with Celtic to close the deal as quickly as possible," said Wisla spokesman Jerzy Jurczynski.

Celtic are also considering a bid for Newcastle's Craig Bellamy who was on loan for the end of last season at Parkhead.

Celtic were keen to borrow him for another season but Newcastle want cash only, with the Glasgow club having first option on the 25-year-old.
