Austria Vienna announced it had signed international Czech midfielder Stepan Vachousek from Marseille on a three-year contract.
Vachousek, 25, was loaned to Austria Vienna last season and became a linchpin in the club's impressive showing that included finishing third in the domestic league, winning the Austrian Cup and reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup.
But the club will have to wait until after autumn before seeing the player in action as he has recently undergone an operation on back ligaments.
