Tottenham midfielder Edgar Davids figures in the Netherlands' squad for next month's final World Cup qualifiers named by manager Marco van Basten.

Davids, who moved to Spurs in August from Inter Milan, was having his first call up for national duty in almost a year.

Another Dutch player based in the English Premiership, Middlsbrough' George Boateng, is back in demand after a three year absence.

Two key names missing from the squad for the last steps to Germany against the Czech Republic on October 8 and Macedonia four days later are Barcelona's Marc van Bommel and Bayern Munich's Roy Makaay.
