Sweden midfielder Fredrik Ljungberg resumed training after recovering from a foot problem and should be ready to play in Sweden's last World Cup warm-up friendly against Chile on Friday.

The Arsenal star took part in a training session here based largely on jogging and coach Lars Lagerbaeck is confident he will be fully fit for the clash with the South Americans.

"If everything works out as expected, he will play. His period of rest has done him a lot of good," said Lagerbaeck.

"My foot feels great," added the 29-year-old player.

Since the last World Cup in 2002, Ljungberg has suffered several prolonged injury absences.

Sweden will play Trinidad and Tobago on June 10 in their World Cup Group B opener before facing Paraguay on June 15 and England five days later.
