FIFA president Sepp Blatter and his UEFA counterpart, Michel Platini, will make the draw for the Scottish Cup semi-finals, the Scottish Football Association announced here Thursday.
The duo will be in Scotland on March 8 for an International Football Association Board meeting at Gleneagles, near Perth, central Scotland.
Three of the quarter-finals are due to take place that weekend, including Celtic's visit to Aberdeen.
SFA chief executive Gordon Smith approached Frange great Platini on Thursday at a meeting at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
Smith, in an SFA statement, said: "We had been working behind the scenes to try and arrange for Mr Blatter and Mr Platini to make the draw so I took the opportunity to speak directly to Michel when I met with him today. He was delighted to be involved."
