Kyiv Dynamo are back in contention for a Champions League quarter final place after this victory in Trondheim.

Serhiy Rebrov's goals sends the Ukrainian champions level on points with Real Madrid whose promising European form has been mauled by eight goals from Bayern Munich in eight days.

Rebrov cashed in on poor marking in the 32nd minute to glance a corner into the net but the home team had started well and deserved an equaliser when Orjan Berg finished a melee in front of goal with a close range tap in on 38 minutes.

Rosenborg's momentum dipped in the second half as their players felt the effects of a long winter break. The Norwegian season ends in late October and their finishing particularly from John Carew looked weak and hopeful rather than sharp.

Rebrov struck against the run of play to score his second goal with a low drive from the edge of the area to impress the scouts from Arsenal and Tottenham who were watching him again.
