First Published: Nov 15, 2000

Cyprus hammered Andorra 5-0 in Nicosia with their biggest ever international win.

The Cypriots are now in second place in their group ahead of Ireland and Holland but their two wins over Andorra have put them into a false position behind leaders Portugal.

Yiannakis scored from close range when he converted a 10th minute cross and eight minutes later scored again when he ran clear to send a through ball into the net with a low finish.

Marios Agathocleous hit a low drive in the 43rd minute and Marios Christodoulou scored from close range in the 73rd minute before Milenko Spolaric ended the goal glut with an 89th minute penalty conversion.
