Champions League - Bayern Munich 2 Paris St Germain 0

First Published: Oct 18, 2000

Bayern Munich recovered from a recent poor run to beat Paris St Germain 2-0.

Hasan Salihamidzic gave Bayern a great start after just four minutes when PSG goalkeeper Lionel Letizi spilled a shot from Mehmet Scholl into his path for a clipped finish.

Oliver Kahn preserved their lead with great saves from Robert Laurent and blocked a close range shot from Christian early in the second half as the French club played well on the break with Nicolas Anelka a constant threat.

Bayern gradually took control of the game and substitute Paulo Sergio sealed the win with a low drive.
