Bayern Munich made unspectacular progress into the second stage of the Champions League with a 0-0 draw against Helsingborg.
A poor game served its purpose for the Bundesliga leaders but there was little to cheer a small crowd.
Helsingborg must take the plaudits for a disciplined if unimaginative display. They only really allowed one great chance for the home team which came in the 70th minute and was a deflected blow against the post by Roland Nilsson after he blocked a shot by Mehmet Scholl.
Oliver Kahn kept out a 29th minute angled drive by Christoffer Andersson in a rare raid forward by the Swedish side.
