Saudi Arabia defeated Uruguay and came from behind to do it.

The South American side went ahead in the 4th minute when Inter striker Alvaro Recoba crossed for Diego Forlan to finish but Obeid Al-Dossari equalised five minutes later with a header and then scored agan to give the home side the lead and Abdallah Al-Waked extended it with a swerving free kick.

Uruguay came right back into the game in the second half and Fabian O'Neil scored from a free kick to give them a chance for an equaliser which wasteful finishing never brought.
