Baia suffers with more knee surgery

FC Porto goalkeeper Vitor Baia has had a knee operation and will miss the rest of the year.

Baia - a Portuguese international - had knee surgery last year while playing for FC Barcelona and the right leg is again the problem.

The 31 year old was off loaded by Barca last summer after Euro 2000 and rejoined the Porto club. Porto fear he may miss at least three months of the league campaign. He has helped them to the top of the Portuguese first division this season. They visit Aves at the weekend.
