Celtic in talks to off load Berkovic

Glasgow Celtic are in talks to sell Israeli star Eyal Berkovic to Blackburn.

The former Southampton and West Ham midfielder was Celtic's record £5.5 million signing in the summer of 1999 but is now on offer to the First Division side from Lancashitre in a swap for Scottish international Christian Dailly.

Berkovic's agent - Pinhas Zahavi - has confirmed talks between Celtic and Blackburn are continuing. Current Blackburn manager Graeme Souness worked with Berkovic at Southampton and the midfielder has little hope of continuing his Celtic career under their new boss Martin O'Neill.
