Madrid sign Nakamura for next season

Real Madrid are to bring Yokohama F Marinos striker and Japanese international Shunsuke Nakamura to Spain after the World Cup finals.

The 23 year old has cost Madrid $3 million and will arrive at the club either in June or July.

Nakamura was J-League Player of the Year two years ago and has 17 caps for the Japan team although he has not featured often in the past nine months.

Madrid have been looking to add a Japanese star to their squad to boost planned marketing and merchandising campaigns in the Far East.
