Inter get Coco and Milan get Seedorf

First Published: May 31, 2002

AC Milan have signed Clarence Seedorf from city rivals Inter with Italian international defender Francesco Coco heading the other way.

The swap has been two weeks in the making since the Milan clubs met for transfer talks earlier this month.

Coco's future has been in doubt for some time after a year-long spell on loan at FC Barcelona - where he was a first team regular - ended just days ago with Milan taking him back.

But Inter had registered a strong interest in the full back earlier in the year and the offer of Seedorf to Milan saw the deal concluded last night.

The formalities of the swap are now being completed by the players and their agents.
