The Polish side gave a lesson of how to play football in Kiev beating the hosts in an impressive Group E match.
Nigerian-born midfielder Emmanuel Olisadebe opened the scoring only three minutes after the beginning and repeated the trick in the 33rd minute when he stole a ball from goalkeeper Vyacheslav Kernozenko, getting himself alone in front of the goal to fire in.
AC Milan ace Andriy Shevchenko managed to score an equalising goal from a difficult angle, but his good performance was not enough to stop the Polish side anyway.
In the second half Radoslav Kaluznyi scored the third goal in the 57th minute and they could even have increased the winning margin but missed a penalty. Olisadebe was tackled in the box by Juri Dimitrulin, but Kernozenko saved the shoot by Andrzei Juskowiak. Poland have rarely looked so good in the last two decades.
