African Nations Cup - Senegal 1 Zambia 0

First Published: Jan 27, 2002

Senegal reached the last eight of the African Nations Cup with an injury time winner.

Souleymane Camara left it late against a Zambia team which has been hit by both malaria and influenza during their stay in Mali but substitute Makhtar Ndiaye crossed in the 92nd minute to win the game.

The Zambians must now beat Egypt next week to stay in the competition.

Their defence led by Elijah Tana almost held out in a scrappy game of few chances.
