Italy striker Filippo Inzaghi has played himself back into contention for the opening World Cup tie against Ecuador on Monday with four goals in five minutes against a junior team.
Italy hit five goals against Vendai Sendai with Inzaghi claiming four in the last five minutes after recovering from a knee injury suffered last week in a friendly. Inzaghi may now feature as a substitute against Ecuador with coach Giovanni Trapattoni wanting Francesco Totti pushed up front with Internazionale star Christian Vieri.
